Why Most Species of Stingrays are in The Brink of Extinction?

stringraysIt’s so hard to believe that these amazing creatures are slowly being erased on the list of species one after another. Stingrays are one of the most resilient species on the planet, but even they, could not survive the jarring grip of the human hands.

Climate Change

We have many movements raising awareness about climate change. In spite of the obvious hints of Mother Nature, people are not listening. Stingrays and other ocean animals need a stable temperature to survive. A slight change of temperature in the ocean can put them at risk. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to wake up in a world where I could only see these beautiful creatures by buying Colosseum tickets. They are living a good life in these gigantic aquariums but one thing is for sure, they are meant to be in the ocean. This is a hard, big pill to swallow but climate change is true. Unless we take action, we may find ourselves in a dead end and there is no way back.

Illegal Exotic Animal Trading

It’s hard to believe that there are still people participating in this kind of trading. Buying exotic water animals such as stingray has no difference in capturing them. You don’t have to get vaticaanstad tickets to understand that this is totally wrong. Based on research, people from impoverished countries participate in this kind of trading to support their families. What they don’t know is the long-term effect of this wrongdoing. We hope that we could provide solutions to this problem so that nature doesn’t have to suffer in return for money.

Poisoning and Pollution

Pollution is self-evident. It’s everywhere, from air, land, to ocean, it is visible. Ocean animals die because we polluted the ocean. It poisons them more than words can say. This should be a waking call for all of us that we are not doing things right with mother nature. Why we are not taking action? How many more should we lose before we realize that we need to change?
