As a base we use 20" containers. They are strong, easy to
get. This way the base of your tank is known, and is strong and
efficient. We have bought 6 of them who we need for the new tanks. |
| Because of the bad weather during construction
we have covered the tanks with plastic, this way we could work in a dry
area. |
 |
 |
In front of the containers some of the steal beams who had to
be welded into the containers . We want to make two tanks above each other
in one container. This is more efficient twice as much space on the bottom
of the tanks. |
| Some of the wood we need. The idea of the
tank is to make a steal frame cover it in wood and on the wood we apply
a rubber paint. |
 |
 |
This is half of the wood we used. |
Preparation for the base of the tanks. Because of the floor pressure we
had to drill some holes in the concrete floor and put some extra piles in.
After the piles where in we started with the construction of the concrete
base in the tank. |
 |
 |
Some of the construction. In total we added 16 piles to the
floor to support the tanks. |
| The concrete foundation is hardening and
the wood is removed. In the middle ( also picture below) you see a concrete
tank. This tank we will use for filtration and will be filled with alpha
rock a bacterial holder for filtration. Also pumps and heating will be placed
in this compartment. |
 |
 |
A view in the new tank room we want to use natural lightning as
much as possible. Behind the wall on the right is the mega tank. Eventually
you can from the mega tank to this expansion area. |
